Average monthly wage in CR up 4 pct at Kc23,598 in 2009--CSU

Průměrná mzda je 23.598 Kč, většina však vydělává méně
Prague - The average monthly wage in the Czech Republic grew by 4 percent, that is Kc907, year-on-year to Kc23,598 in 2009, the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) said today.
Adjusted for inflation, the average wage rose by 3 percent.
In the fourth quarter of last year, the average gross monthly wage increased by 5.2 percent, that is Kc1,268, compared to the same period of 2008 and reached Kc25,752. The real wage added 4.8 percent.
In the full year 2009, wages grew in both the private and non-private sector. The average wage in the private sector rose by 3.8 percent in 2009. Wages in the non-private sector increased by 4.7 percent.
